A Japanese logistics/ transportation company (Listed in Japan) with more than 40 years of presence in Malaysia, and is one of the largest door-to-door delivery service provider.
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage the current forwarding division and oversee 5 branches, in improving the operation service level, productivity and P&L.
2. Plan, execute and responsible on freight management matters such as packaging, custom clearance, documentation, delivery arrangement and etc.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
4. Review and select appropriate vendors according to company policy and direction.
5. Stay updated on industry trends/news, and competitor analysis to provide valuable insights.
6. Prepare annual operation budget and work with relevant departments to ensure company P&L target is achieved.
7. Prepare weekly and monthly reports/forecasts with deep analysis for management team.
8. Update/ Set SOP and KPI for subordinates and ensure they comply with the SOP, KPI and company policy.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and above.
- Fluent in English.
- Familiar in setting cost/budget / P&L for the team.
- Must have freight forwarding experience (import and export) – air, ocean, cross border and domestic trucking.
- Preferably someone with global logistics exposure experience.
- Proven experience in leading a team.
