US listed company - Trading Platform
Company Business Nature:
US listed company specialized in digitized brokerage and wealth management platform in China, Hong Kong, the United States, and internationally.
Location: KL City
Working Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm (flexible as long as 8 hours per day)
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Reporting:
- Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy.
- Prepare statutory reporting to relevant authorities and draft financial statements and tax computations.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the preparation of monthly financial reports and analysis reports.
- Review reconciliation reports for bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany, and other balance sheet accounts and provide insights from financial analysis to support decision-making.
Financial Compliance and Governance:
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, tax consultants, company secretaries for statutory reporting and compliance.
- Uphold a strong internal control system and corporate governance standards.
Finance Advisory and Support:
- Provide proactive financial advice and support to the management and business operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize financial performance.
Process improvement and Project Management:
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the creation of new processes and system implementations when required.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate financial performance and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in accounting/finance/banking, and/or professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CA, CPA).
- At least 5-8 years and above of relevant and solid experience, prior experience working in technology firms and digital companies are advantageous.
- Experience in stockbroking/investment industry or financial services or fintech will be a STRONG plus. Good familiarity with overall and end-to-end stockbroking finance operations while possessing treasury and/or cash management experiences are HIGHLY preferable.
- Strong interest in finance industry developments, especially surrounding regulatory and technical updates (e.g. IFRS, tax developments, domestic regulatory developments).
- Language proficiency in English, Malay and Chinese is a must.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in specifically MS Excel – lookups, pivot tables, conditional formulas etc.
- Global thinking and is being proactive in profit driven. Demonstrates team leadership qualities and values.
- Self-driven, meticulous, organized, an excellent team player and able to perform independently.
- Willingness to adapt, be versatile, and take on tasks outside of pre-defined job scope to provide solutions and/or to achieve functional and business objectives
Salary: Up to RM25,000 – RM30,000 (depending on experience)
Probation: 6 months
Fixed bonus: 1 month (prorate if not full year of employment)
Annual bonus: Depending on KPI (about 2.5 months)
Annual Leave: 18 – 22 days
